The Impact of Donations to Community Friendship, Inc.

Donations to Community Friendship, Inc. (CFI) orginate from Federal and State agencies, corporate and private foundations, consumers, caregivers, volunteers, staff and friends like you. Each Fiscal Year (July 1-June 30) gifts provide valuable expendable operating support.

Contributions assist consumers in various ways some include:  shelter, food, transportation assistance, cash assistance to avoid homelessness, computer lab equipment, job training and coaching, program supplies, curriculum development, community integration activities, facility maintenance and repairs, and so much more. Donations are critical to sustaining our supportive services and CFI experiences for men and women with mental illnesses.

Due to ongoing support, each year approximately:

  • 59% of consumers maintain employment over 180 days
  • 60% of consumers have remained in safe and stable housing for over a year.
  • 87% are better able to care for themselves
  • 80% have decreased or unchanged symptoms
  • 87% have increased self- esteem
  • 89% have improved their quality of life
